Haru, Eri, and Astra have gone after Mienumon, who has stolen the last chip (Weatherdramon) from them.

Back at Rei's secret base, Hackmon tells Rei that he has found a way to appfuse to ultimate, however, he would have to fuse with Dezipmon. Rei smiles as he is ready to face the appmon who beat him up pretty bad just before he and Hackmon were a team.

Flashbacks show how Rei worked day and night hacking into systems in an effort to find Hajime. He felt alone and lost. The day he was beaten by Dezipmon was the day he met Hackmon.
