Final Frontier (Special OVA)

It's nothing short of a miracle how the worlds were drawn together to unite two stable separate worlds. Both Mitsuki's still exist when one should have really disappeared. The world has adapted so that D actually exists in it. What's more....Akane ended up as "Mrs. Sanada!" While the others are at school, the now Mr. and Mrs. Sanada are discussing this outcome. Their attention turns to their TV where an earthquake is brought to their attention. The epicenter appears to be in the same area that Genbu was blown up. "What could be going through Kazuki's mind this time?" Professor Sanada wonders.

From beneath the sea a submarine encounters.........a major disturbance. It's.............!

At school, Kazuki finds a love letter in his locker. He races out to read it, but just as he does, it is snatched away by Mitsuki Sanada and Yayoi. On the way home, Mitsuki teases poor Kazuki....seems the love letter didn't turn out as he hoped. (It was a joke from his two buddies.) When they arrive at the Sanada residence, D is holding a package that was just delivered. It's from Mrs. Rara. Inside is a puppy by the name of Kumu! It's affectionate towards the girls but totally hates Kazuki and gives him a painful bite.

Elsewhere, a satellite transmission is allowing Mrs. Rara to observe their target. Who or what could be their target? At the same time, the Sanada's have their survey team diligently looking for the artifact.

The next day at school, Kazuki gets another love letter. At first he thought it was again a joke, but after reading it, this one looked legit. The person wanted Kazuki to meet them behind the gym at lunch time. The meeting, however, turned out to be an ambush by Alice, Mena, and Ryla. Poor Kazuki is given sleeping gas. When he wakes up, Kazuki finds himself naked in a lavish pink bed. What's more, Mitsuki Rara is sleeping naked right next to him. On a surveillance screen Mrs. Rara is watching his movements anxious for him to "jump her daughter's bones." (**chuckles**) Seems the puppy (Kumu) was wired to get information, but it wasn't performing as she had hoped. The Rara's want Kazuki to marry their daughter, because he is the only link they have to the artifact.

Meanwhile, the others are searching frantically for Kazuki. Surprise! It's actually Kumu that leads them to the home of the Rara's where they walk right into their surveillance room. The Rara's weren't fooling anyone. (There are some really funny scenes here.)

After a while, the whole group meet at the Sanada home to discuss the artifact! Mr. Sanada tells Kazuki that at the bottom of the Pacific they've been detecting electromagnetic pulses which are identical to mechanisms of artifact technology. He states that now that the two worlds are together there wouldn't be any reason to destroy either Kazuki or the artifact.

If the artifact is found, Mrs. Rara says she should take over. She offers the girls designer outfits. (Looks like she's thinking of putting together another army.) When Mitsuki Rara and Yayoi each take one, Mitsuki Sanada doesn't want to be left out and grabs one as well. While the girls are changing, Professor Sanada and Mr. Rara discuss their dreams of using the artifact to conquer space with Kazuki. "The solar system will be our destination!" they say in unison. Suddenly, the ground begins to shake. Auntie Reika receives a phone call from their team saying it's heading their way at great speed. Oh no....it destroyed the Rara home! When the smoke and debris clears, Kazuki is delighted to see.........Genbu!

Will this lead to another Rara army or will space be conquered? Since it's the end of this series, I guess we'll never know!
