Agent Axel Hughes

Handsome Agent Hughes is a respected member of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), which is somewhat similar to the American FBI. He is assigned by the President of the United States to investigate Heroman (code named "Ghost"). Sadly, even though Heroman was responsible for saving the Earth, the government feared his immense power and questioned his origin.

Hughes' first appearance in the series happens in episode 10. During his assignment, Hughes is seen in Center City unshaven and dressed to fit in as a construction worker. In fact, he is normally clean shaven and dressed in a suit.

From the beginning, one can tell that Hughes is an honest and understanding man. It's evident when he becomes angry in episode 13 after reading untrue and fabricated publicity of Heroman. After Hughes learns that it is Joey controlling Heroman, he becomes a trusted ally and friend to the boy.
