Simon "Psy" Kaina

Psy and Joey have been friends since childhood. They both attend Center City Middle School, and Psy would often defend Joey against the bullies. After school Psy works at a sporting goods store that specialized in skate boards.

Psy was a member of the school's football team. He was a talented running back, who let that talent go to his head. He often refused to follow the orders of their team captain and quarterback, Will. Then in one ill-fated game, Will was about to be tackled and made a bad pass to the In Zone. Psy leaped in the air and caught the ball, but a player from the opposite team grabbed his leg and tackled him. (See image)

The damage to his leg was much more severe than just a broken bone. After the incident, a more humbled Psy must use crutches or his motorized skate board to get around. Despite his immobility, Psy doesn't hesitate to help Joey in any way he can. He's a very good friend.
