BeelzebubThe Beelzebub anime is based off the manga that is written and illustrated by Ryuhei Tamura. The award winning (Gold Future Cup) manga first appeared as a one-shot in Weekly Shonen Jump back in 2008. There was an OVA produced in October of 2010, and in January 2011 the anime began airing in Japan. The story is centered around main protagonist and tough guy, Oga Tatsumi. He is a first year student at a high school for juvenile delinquents. One day, he sees a man floating down the river and pulls him to shore. When the man is split in two, a baby boy pops out, but this is no ordinary baby. Baby Beel is the son of a demon lord and has latched on to Oga. The baby is wreaking havoc in Oga’s life, but the only way he can get rid of it is if he finds someone more evil and stronger than him. Then Baby Beel would latch on to that person. So Oga sets his sights on off-loading his unwanted baggage by finding an opponent that's stronger than himself.
