Cardfight! VanguardThe premise of this series is as follows: Aichi Sendo is a shy, soft spoken boy attending middle school. Because of his quiet nature and small size, he is often bullied and ridiculed. The one thing that keeps him going is his Blaster Blade Vanguard card given to him by Kai Toshiki, one of the strongest Vanguard players in the World. Ever since then, Aichi dreamed of the day he could play Vanguard with Kai. Unfortunately, before that could happen, Kai moved away. It is now several years later, and Kai has moved back to town. However, he doesn’t have that upbeat spirit that Aichi so fondly remembers. What made Kai change? Card fights....we've seen them so many times before. Let's face it..... this is a money maker for the industry. Pokemon, YuGiOh, Duel Master, Chaotic, etc. .... all brought in (and continues to do so) a substantial amount of revenue for it's franchise. That means it has it's place among the younger viewers. We can't forget that anime is not just for young adults and older. If you’re a fan of YuGiOh, then you will definitely be a fan of Cardfight! Vanguard. The two anime are extremely similar, except the first few episodes of Vanguard show the opponents using a playing board. However, if YuGiOh churns up your stomach acids, then I’d say you better steer clear of Vanguard.
