Fairy Tail
The Fairy Tail series is an anime adaptation of the manga by Hiro Mashima. As of August 2009 there are 16 volumes, as well as, its appearance in Weekly Shonen Magazine. The genre is considered a fantasy, adventure, comedy. Although it may seem light-hearted, there are emotional and serious moments intertwined in this anime.
The series is about a group of wizards belonging to the Fairy Tail Guild, considered as one of the strongest guilds to exist. Young sorceress, Lucy Heartfilia, desires to be a member of this guild. When she sets out to join the group, Lucy meets a teenage boy by the name of Natsu Dragneel. As fate would have it, he ends up rescuing her from kidnappers. Afterwards, Lucy discovers this boy is a member of the Fairy Tail Guild, and he offers her a membership. (What luck!)
The Guild is sent on various missions, however, they often leave a wake of destruction behind them. Because of that, they do not have the best reputation. There is, also, quite a diverse group of characters belonging to the Fairy Tail Guild, and fights among them are common. These and other antics make for an enjoyable series.
