Hanasakeru Seishounen
Hanasakeru Seishounen aired its first episode April 5,2009 in Japan, and it is fast becoming one of my favorites of the Spring Season.
Fourteen-year-old, Kajiki Burnsworth had just settled into her new school and made new friends when her powerful father summoned her back to America. "We're going to play a marriage game," he told her. She will be meeting three men that have been chosen for her. She will not know who they are. Of these men, she must decide who she would like to marry, and they must want to marry her as well. If she does that, then her father will tell her what the future holds for her.
Of course, many of you will be thinking that this is just another Shojo love story, but it's much more than that. Kajiki's father is well-known throughout the World, and because of that power, Kajiki finds herself involved in mystery, deceit, suicide, and even assassination attempts. However, Kajiki is not your spoiled rich brat. She was raised on a secluded island and has become quite an intelligent and sensible young woman. In fact, her strong, yet warm, personality seems to captivate everyone that she meets.
So far the series is in the 9th episode, and there are so many questions to be answered. Every week leaves me hungry for more. If you haven't started watching this yet, you just don't know what you're missing.
