Kyoryu King a.k.a. Dinosaur King
Max, Rex, and Zoe are childhood friends. One evening, Max sees a bright light crash onto the Earth. He believes it is a meteorite and ventures out the next day with his friends to find the evidence. What they do come across changes their lives forever! Each of them find an ancient stone slab. Somehow these slabs are connected to the recreation of various types of dinosaurs. To add even more fun to the series, each of the children find themselves with cards and a hand-held device that allow them to manipulate their ancient beasts when needed. Surprisingly, when their creature is not a full-fledged dinosaur, they are an adorable pet about the size of a dog. Why is this happening? It's because of a sinister group of people who plan to use these dinosaurs for their own personal gain. Can these kids put an end to their evil??
Based on a card game, it appears that this series is destined for North American T.V. According to NewType Magazine, it is licensed in the U.S. This anime should be popular among fans of prehistoric times....especially since the computer graphics portray the dinosaurs very realistically. Although the age range is closer to pre-teen, all ages can appreciate the amazing animation of Kyoryu King.
