Hikari Hanazono was always a tough young girl, and prided herself in beating every opponent. Everyone...until Kei Takishima came along that is. No matter how hard she tried, Hikari is unable to beat Kei at anything. As the years pass, the competition continues. Now in high-school, Hikari continues her rivalry at the elite school both her and Kei attend. They are part of the cream-of-the-crop students called the Special A. Their academic excellence allows them to sip tea most of the day in a greenhouse type environment.
Unbeknownst to Hikari is the fact that Kei has a crush on her, and because of their rivalry she just doesn't see it.
