HIGHLIGHTS:
At the end of last season, Kenshin had bid Kaoru goodbye and headed to Kyoto.
A few days have passed. Worrying poor Yahiko, Kaoru has stayed in bed and hasn't eaten anything. He asks for help from the girls at the Akabeko. He then looks for Sano.
Sano is angry that Kenshin left without him. He decides to go after him, but first he needs a little cash.
Meanwhile Saitou watches him.
He finds Sano outside his friend Katsu's home. Of course, Sano is about to head to Kyoto after Kenshin. Saitou tells Sano that he is weak and would just be and hindrance to him.
Sano and Saitou exchange a round of blows. It looks like Saitou may be willing to give Sano a shot after discovering that this young man has much more stamina than he thought. (He doesn't let Sano know that, however.)
Back at the dojo, Megumi hears about Kaoru and confronts her. Megumi told her to go after Kenshin and give him a medicine that will help any wounds he may get. A tearful Kaoru hesitates, but Megumi has a way of getting her point across even though she is feeling just as sad as Kaoru.
In the end, it is off to Kyoto for everyone.
