HIGHLIGHTS:
Megumi is left to watch over the dojo while everyone goes after Kenshin in Kyoto. Imagine her shock to discover Aoshi from the Oniwaban group has broken in looking for Kenshin. When Saitou shows up and tells Aoshi where to find Kenshin, Megumi is not pleased. Meanwhile, one of Shishio's minions is watching.
Not long after leaving the dojo, Aoshi finds four overgrown monks at the gravesite of his comrades. Shishio has sent them. However, Aoshi wants no part and literally makes mince meat of them. Soujiro shows up unarmed and asks him to meet Shishio, but Aoshi wants no part.
Elsewhere, Kenshin has arrived in Odawara. Not wanting to get the innocent involved, Kenshin will camp out in the Hakone mountains. That evening, he hears what sounds like a woman in trouble. It's actually a very strong young woman who outsmarted some bandits out of their last heist.
After a little confrontation with her, he takes her to where the heist took place to return the money.
Once they leave, they are surrounded by the bandits, but this time there are even more. Kenshin causes the bridge they are on to collapse so they can escape.
Misao says Kenshin is amazing, but the people she is looking for are even more amazing. Kenshin is speechless when he hears the names, Lord Aoshi and the Odiwaban Group.
NOTE: This episode introduces the character that annoyed me the most in the original run of Rurouni Kenshin...Misao. Maybe she won't be as bad in this re-make.
