HIGHLIGHTS:
Saito arrives just as Kenshin is finishing off (not killing) the last of Shishio's men. However, the one responsible for killing Eiji's parents, Senkaku, was not among them.
Kenshin asks why Saito is here. He responds that he is here from work when one of his men contacted him saying Shishio was at the village. Seems Eiji's brother (Eiichiro Mishima) was a spy for the Metropolitan Police.
When Kenshin goes to lower Eiji's deceased parents, the villagers tell him not to. They fear Senkaku's wrath. No matter what their reasons, Kenshin lowers Eiji's parents.
Saito explains that Shishio has already taken 10 villages as his own. The Army cannot be used for civil unrest as it would expose their domestic instability to foreign countries.
Kenshin heads to Shishio's mansion and asks Misao to stay by Eiji's side. Saito accompanies Kenshin.
Eiji becomes angrier and angrier. He refuses Misao's orders and heads to the mansion not long after Kenshin.
Shishio is warned that Kenshin is on his way and sets up Senkaku to fight. When the two engage, Shishio's eyes watch their every move. Kenshin uses his divine speed to dodge Senkaku's moves.
Without attacking once, Kenshin has lured Senkaku into self destruction. This angers Shishio. After Shishio's threat, Senkaku uses his Super Human Catapult, but Kenshin engages his hiten Mitsurugi-ryu landing a severe blow to the throat of the evil man.
"Pick up your sword," Kenshin orders Shishio.
