Episode 29: To Kyoto, Once More

<< Previous  **   Next >>

HIGHLIGHTS:

Picking up from last episode, Kenshin has defeated Senkaku and tells Shishio to draw his sword. However, Shishio won't accept boring fights. As he leaves, Shishio tells Kenshin to come on over to Kyoto once you return to being a hitokiri. He throws his sword to Sojiro and tells him to play with them in my stead.

Unable to see Sojiro's sword aura, Kenshin will use his fastest sword speed, Battojutsu. Sojiro uses the same.

When Sojiro and Kenshin do engage, both their swords are heavily damaged. Kenshin's sakabato was broken in two. Since both were unable to fight, Sojiro leaves to catch up with Shishio.

Seeing that Senkaku is still breathing, Eiji (using his brother's sword) prepares to kill him, but is stopped by Saito.

Sojiro meets up with Shishio showing him the damaged sword. Feeling he may have underestimated Kenshin, Shishio asks Sojiro to gather up the "Ten Swords." Ten skilled and ruthless men who Shishio hopes will draw out the hitokiri in Kenshin.

Back at Shingetsu Village, the police have taken into custody Senkaku and the rest of Shishio's men. Saito says he will take in Eiji and have his wife (yep he's married) look after the boy. Kenshin heads to Kyoto with Misao.

Back at the Akabeko Restaurant, Ms. Tae is actually missing Sanosuke. She's wondering if he could find his way to Kyoto. In the woods, however, Sanosuke finally admits that he is seriously lost.
