HIGHLIGHTS:
FLASHBACK: Young Shinta(Kenshin) stares at the murdered young women/slaves he knew for just a day. Meanwhile, a man, whom Shinta does not know, cut down all the men that ended the young women's lives. That man was Seijuro. He felt he got revenge for young Shinta. He told the boy that ever since Perry's expedition arrived two years ago, there has been little order, and the number of samurai turned bandits increased. He, also, added that no amount of hatred or regret will bring the dead back to life.
It has been 19 years since that fateful meeting. By the waterfall, Kenshin and his Master, Seijuro, resume intensive training. Seijuro says that Kenshin must land a blow on him for the training to continue.
Kenshin landed badly from his attack giving himself a concussion, but he did land a blow. Seijuro says he will start teaching the ultimate technique.
Karatake, Kesagiri, Sakagesa, Migi-nagi, Hidari-nagi, Migi-kiriage, Hidari-kiriage, Sakakaze, and Tsuki. Using the divine speed of Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu to the fullest, you unleash all nine of these attacks simultaneously. This is Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu Kuzuryuusen. All nine attacks carry fatal impact.
After explaining and showing him once, Kenshin is expected to use the technique against his Master. He does it perfect, but multiple strikes depend on arm strength and charging attacks depend on weight. Kenshin lacks in both compared to his Master. Seijuro says the only technique that could beat his is Amakakeru Ryuu no Hirameki. When you can defeat the master's Kuzuryuusen, it means the teaching of the ultimate technique is complete.
When Kenshin says,"Even if it costs me my life, i have to master the ultimate technique here." Seijuro gets frustrated and stops the training for one night telling Kenshin to take the time to figure out what he is lacking.
MORE FLASHBACKS; explaining how Seijuro took the boy in, trained him, and renamed him to Kenshin since he felt Shinta was too soft.
The next morning, Seijuro pulls out all the stops before lunging at Kenshin. Kenshin realizes that "he cannot die!!" This is what Seijuro was waiting to hear just before Kenshin slashes back. The will to live is stronger than anything.
Kenshin is shocked to see that he left what looked like a lethal blow on his master!
