The Guardian of Earth, the Ancient One defeated Talpa over 1000 years ago, banishing his spirit to the Nether Realm. Talpa’s armor remained, however, and the Ancient One used his powers to split it into nine armors—each imbued with a different virtue. The monk returned at the same time as Talpa, aiding the Ronin Warriors with his powerful magic and words of wisdom. The Ancient One later sacrificed himself to create a bridge into the Nether Realm so the Ronins could battle Talpa.
