Shadowland
The episode starts with a sky view of Tokyo. An ominous shadow appears over the city, followed by evil laughter.
Meanwhile, in a room of Tokyo University, a young woman named Mia Koji and her grandfather are investigating the strange phenomenon on a small computer. Dr. Koji has Mia type in five words: Wildfire, Hardrock, Torrent, Halo, and Strata. “Grandfather,” Mia begins, “this is…” “The dynasty,” he finishes. “The world may very well end today.”
Later, in the city, a young boy is looking at skateboards with his parents. After finding one he likes, the boy (Yulie) takes off skating on it. He ends up wiping out in the street, hurting his knee. A large creature suddenly licks his face. He looks up to find a teenage boy with a VERY big white tiger. The boy asks if Yulie is okay, before he and the tiger move on. Yulie watches them leave.
Mia and her grandfather see the teenager and his tiger on the news, and Mia decides to go help him. As she nears the city, however, her car dies, and she has to take a police bicycle to continue.
The city is attacked, causing panic among the citizens. Yulie ends up separated from his parents in the confusion. A dynasty soldier appears and attacks the tiger (White Blaze) and his master. The boy rips his clothes, revealing his red sub-armor, and introduces himself as Ryo of the Wildfire. He and Whiteblaze fight the soldier, but don’t do very well. Yulie stumbles upon the battle and is saved by Mia.
Just when it looks like Ryo is losing, four more boys appear: Rowen of the Strata, Kento of Hardrock, Cye of the Torrent, and Sage of the Halo. They end up arguing about who will take the soldier down, so Mia yells that they can only win if they work together. The soldier captures Mia and Yulie and traps them inside a billboard. The boys all transform into their armors, but can’t attack because Mia and Yulie feel the attacks as well.
Finally forced into action, Ryo unleashes his final attack: Flare Up Now! The soldier is destroyed and the captives are freed. There is no time to celebrate, though, as Talpa and his four Dark Warlords appear. The battle for Earth has begun!
Glory for Anubis
The city of Tokyo has been cut off from the rest of Japan by Talpa’s magic. His castle can be seen high in the dark skies. Helicopters try to get close enough to investigate, but are destroyed by Talpa’s evil magic.
Back in Talpa’s castle, the four Dark Warlords are preparing for the upcoming battle. Talpa tells the leader Anubis, Warlord of Cruelty, to use Mia and Yulie against the Ronin Warriors. Anubis readily agrees, anxious to prove his worth. The other three warlords glower at him.
Back in the city, Mia and Yulie are hiding in a subway, resting and eating to build their strength. Sage and Rowen stand outside discussing battle plans while White Blaze keeps watch. Introductions are exchanged. Rowen and Sage join them underground as they watch TV. Several army tanks and planes try to launch an attack. Talpa easily turns their attacks against each other. Mia says how useless their attacks are against the power of the dynasty.
White Blaze bursts in and warns the others of the danger approaching moments before Anubis breaks in through the ceiling. Wanting to protect Mia and Yulie, the Ronin Warriors use their armors to form the Circle of Protection around them. Without their armors, however, Anubis quickly traps them in a web of chains with his attack: Quake With Fear.
On top of a nearby building, a mysterious figure watches the battle. He throws the magic staff he is holding into the Circle of Power, breaking the spell and returning the armors to the boys. The Ronins quickly break free and transform, this time giving Anubis a run for his money. But Anubis is clever, and focuses his attacks on Ryo. They unleash their ultimate attacks on each other—injuring Anubis and rendering Ryo unconscious. One of his katanas falls to the ground.
Angered at the fall of their friend, the other Ronins surround Anubis—their armors pulsing with power. Talpa senses that they are beginning to harmonize their powers and decides to step in. He uses his powers to draw the Ronins into a dark vortex, hurling the warriors to the farthest reaches of the Earth.
Secret of Wildfire
The next morning, Mia and Yulie wake up and emerge from the rubble. Seeing a glow, they both move closer to see Ryo’s katana sticking out of the ground. Just then, a large piece of rubble falls behind them—right where they had been sleeping. White Blaze appears and beckons for Mia to follow him. The two hop on the tiger’s back, hoping he’ll lead them to Ryo.
Meanwhile, inside the volcano of Mount Fuji, Ryo slowly begins to wake up. He stands, trying to figure out how he got into the volcano. The heat of the lava doesn’t harm Ryo because his armor is the Wildfire. Ryo starts to climb out of the volcano, inching his way to the top.
The Warlords argue among themselves. Sekhmet, Kale, and Dais all degrade Anubis for not succeeding over the Ronins. Talpa interrupts them and insists that the Ronins must die before they can reunite to stand against him. He sends Anubis after Mia and Yulie, knowing they will lead the way to the others. Anubis quickly catches them, but the mysterious figure (the Ancient One) once again intervenes. He throws his magic staff and blows a huge fissure between them, disrupting Talpa’s powers. Mia finds her car, which is working again, and she and Yulie drive off to Mount Fuji. Anubis climbs out of the hole and follows them.
Ryo finally climbs out of the volcano, but meets Anubis who immediately attacks. White Blaze appears and gives Ryo his other sword. Catching Ryo off guard, Anubis knocks him back into the volcano. He laughs wickedly, believing to have won. He is surprised when Ryo reappears in a blast of lava, unharmed. With his armor super-powered by the lava, Ryo easily fends off the Dark Warlord. Realizing this, Anubis takes Mia and Yulie hostage. (The coward!) White Blaze tries to save them, but he is knocked unconscious.
As Ryo approaches Anubis, the heat from his armor causes Mia and Yulie pain. With a wicked grin, Anubis throws his captives into the volcano. Ryo dives after them, but he knows that his armor will burn them if he tries to grab them. Ryo quickly sheds his armor and saves his two friends. As he drops them on top of a ledge, Anubis sees his chance and grabs Ryo away with his chain. Bound and unable to transform, Ryo is slammed repeatedly into the rocks by the Dark Warlord. Anubis tosses Ryo’s limp body into the pit, certain that Ryo will not survive without his armor. Ryo suddenly grabs Anubis and pulls him into the pit with him. The two barely escape a fiery death before the volcano begins to erupt. Anubis rides on a large boulder to escape, but Ryo transforms and quickly sends the Warlord packing.
