Fate of the Ronin Armor
Kento wanders around in the subway system, still trying to find his friends. It isn't long until he meets up with Rowen. As the two continue along the tunnel, Kento suggests they just use their armor to blast their way out. Rowen disagrees, saying they should save their strength for a real battle. Suddenly, two subway trains appear out of no where. The boys jump over them, Kento riding one away with Rowen escaping by grabbing a pipe in the ceiling. Since nothing happens to Rowen, he realizes that the dynasty's target was Kento.
Kento, meanwhile, soon finds that the train he's riding on is full of dynasty soldiers. He fights his way through them until the train crashes. As Kento is thrown from the track, he falls into some sort of rift. The young warrior soon finds himself in a dry, desolate wasteland, watching two ancient armies engaging in a fierce battle. Suddenly, the armors of the four Dark Warlords emerge from the ground. Talpa's laugher is heard, and he begins to explain that the Ronin armors were made from the same mold as the Warlord armor. All nine armors were created from Talpa's own dark armor, but according to him the Ancient One stole the five Ronin Armors from him. Ultimately, he says, all of the armors are hungry for destruction, and he invites Kento to join the Dynasty.
When Kento refuses, the five Ronin armors emerge and attack him. Kento defeats them easily, to Talpa's delight. He taunts the warrior, calling him a traitor, and that his defection to the Dynasty was only a matter of time. Kento collapses before Ryo, shocked at what he has done, but then Dais emerges from the Wildfire armor. It was an illusion. Dais tells Hardrock that it was easy for him to resort to anger and violence since his armor was the most bloodthirsty of all. Kento transforms and send the Warlord packing, but the damage has already been done. Standing in a pile of rubble back in the city of Tokyo, Kento's mind is filled with fear and self-doubt.
Rowen finally catches up to his friend and is puzzled by his behavior. The two of them continue searching, all the while Kento is thinking about what Talpa told him.
Meanwhile deep within Talpa's castle, Anubis is being tortured by Nether Spirits. They rain down hate and evil upon the Warlord as he seethes in a pool of lava. Writhing in agony, Anubis absorbs the dark power into his body...
Armor of Life
Sage, Mia, and Yulie make their way through a deserted amusement park. White Blaze has joined them. It isn't long before the group is attacked by more dynasty soldiers. Ryo and Cye show up to help, but they're soon forced to flee back to the subway. Fighting them off, they soon meet up with Rowen and Kento.
The effects of the nether spirits on Anubis finally take their toll. Seething with rage and hatred, he emerges from the depths of the castle and comes crashing into the subway. No longer wearing his helmet, the maddened Warlord taunts the Ronins into fighting him. As the boys suit up, Kento, still shaken from his ordeal with Dais, finds he is unable to transform. His deep seated fears of turning on his friends are too strong.
Ignoring Kento, Anubis attacks the other four boys, easily fending them off. He attempts to destroy Ryo once more, but his kanji flashes, causing him to hesitate again. White Blaze and Yulie charge the Warlord to protect Ryo, but Anubis knocks them away. Angered to see his friends in trouble, Kento finally finds the courage to summon his Armor of Hardrock. Anubis taunts the boy saying Kento risks becoming his evil brother. Kento retorts that the armor does not control him, he controls his armor. Kento is able to strike down the Warlord.
Angered by these developments, Talpa attempts to take Anubis back. The Ancient One appears suddenly, and disrupts Talpa's powers. He lands with an unconscious Anubis in his arms, much to the confusion of the Ronin Warriors. Just who is this mysterious man?
