Kirito and Leafa are making their way to Aarun and the World Tree through the mountain caves. The cave is called Ruger Corridor. Just as they were to reach an underground lake, Yui warns them that 12 players are approaching. That's when the saw the bat, in other words, a high level magic Tracer Searcher. They make a run for the city! Salamanders have found them.

Way outnumbered, Kirito comes up with a plan. Transforming himself into Gleam Eyes, Kirito easily defeats the attacking Salamanders. All except one of them, whom he bribes into giving him information. Not long after Shinichi calls to inform Leafa that Sigurd is working with the Salamanders, and they plan to attack the Sylph leader, Sakuya and the Cait Siths.
