Klein is one of my favorite characters in this series. He is a very caring person who's friendly to everyone. His only fault is his desperation to meet a girl. Due to that, he may sometimes come off as a pervert, but he is not. He's just a really nice guy the deserves to meet a nice girl.

Klein makes his first appearance in episode 1 where he recognizes Kirito as a beta-tester and initiates his help to learn more about the game. After the shocking truth about the game was revealed, Klein had the opportunity to join Kirito and advance, but he didn't want to leave his friends behind and refused.

Klein feels that any death in the game is a useless death. He often becomes emotional with Kirito like a concerned and often proud parent.
