Episode 26: Demon Spirit of the Sea

Riku meets Mimisenri, who has heard of Riku's deception. Riku hopes to get clues to the whereabouts of the rainbow pearls.
In a coastal village, Towa wonders where Setsuna and Moroha went. She sees a young girl become very fearful when the wind blows off her scarf. Towa learns that women must cover their hair when they are near the ocean. There is a demon known as the Sea Snake Woman. She was a demon spirit named Watatsumi no Tamahi, who protected the waters here. She had saved many who were thrown into the sea, but one day she started attacking people, especially women with long, beautiful hair. Towa worries about Setsuna and goes to Kohaku.
Elsewhere, Setsuna recalls what Totosai had told her while Towa was unconscious. He said Towa cannot infuse demon power into a weapon made by humans. She needs to obtain a Kyuyokon root... It's what she needs to have a fighting chance against the great demon Kirinmaru. To find it, Setsuna was told to try asking Bokusen-Oh.
At the Corpse Dealer, Moroha is getting payment for some demon bones, but they were small fry to Mr. Jyubei and the payment is small. She asks about Bokusen-Oh.
Moroha catches up to Setsuna to inform her what Mr. Jyubei said. They see a struggling Nun and help her with her bags. The Nun gives them a hearty dinner for their help. However, when they go to leave, the nun transforms into the Sea Snake Woman. The girls are aware that if they look at her, they will be turned to stone. Fighting her is difficult if you can't see. The Demon Exterminators and Towa show up to help.
Setsuna asks the Sea Snake Woman why she is doing this when she used to save many lives. The Demon explains how she saved the man she loved. A short time later she disguised herself as a sea snake so she could watch him from the ocean. Fearing the snake, the men attacked her, and it was her love that put an end to her. In her demon state, she went back and turned the men to stone including her love. Also, she hates women with long, beautiful hair as it reminds her of who she was.
Setsuna finds the Sea Snake Woman's love at the bottom of the sea. He is turned to stone, but he still reaches out to her. The Sea Snake Woman returns to her normal appearance and sinks into the water.
The girls leave realizing that they forgot to ask about Bokusen-Oh.
