Towa and Setsuna are attacked by Rock Fiend. When Towa is almost destroyed when Rock Fiend tricks her, Setsuna fears it may be best if she returned to the other World.
Takechiyo asks Moroha to be his bodyguard. He's going to see his brother at Mamiana Island where he was born and raised. Takechiyo was once the Young Lord of Mamidaira. Supposedly, he was chased out due to some family feud.
Rion and Riku venture to see Zero. Rion asks for her help to bring down Kirinmaru, but she says she has broken all ties with her brother. Zero asks Rion to give Riku a message, "The next time we meet will be when Towa, to whom you are so enamored with, dies."
Kohaku has a new mission in the West. It will be a large scale mission. He wants to take Towa and Setsuna, but they seem to be having trouble with their current mission.
Takechiyo and Moroha arrive at the outskirsts of Mamiana where they meet up with Hachiemon and Takamaru. Seems it was Hachiemon who took the infant, Moroha, to the fortress of the Wolf-Demon Tribe. Hachiemon says it was the right choice to hire Moroha since the evil full moon raccoon dog was originally sealed away by Kagome.
Returning to Towa and Setsuna, Hisui and Kohaku has come to them. Towa trains with Kohaku. He says she is not good at dodging, because she doesn't consider running as an option. He says she is ashamed to run away. He tells her while traveling as a youth, two people he knew would never run away, Lord Sesshomaru and Lady Kikyo. Watching Towa, he sees her acting reckless and worries. He says he'll only be taking Setsuna on the next mission.
Elsewhere, Moroha has been spotted by the surveillance eyeball. She is unable to move! The enemies from the Mamidaira castle exit the castle to stop the intruders!
Finally, with Riku and Rion watching and with some trouble, Towa defeats the boss of the Rock Fiend. Riku states that Towa is not a protector, but someone to be protected.
