Episode 37: Zero's Wish
Highlights:
Towa's demon blood takes over as she is enraged that her memories were viewed by Lady Zero without permission. The two engage in battle. Zero sends out deadly orbs, but Towa is able to dodge them or slice through them. Even Riku wasn't able to stop Towa's rage.
Just as Lady Zero releases a huge orb, Setsuna stops Towa from retaliating. (Earlier, Rin had kept Setsuna from cutting the string saying the curse cannot be lifted unless the remorse Zero feels is cleared.) Setsuna shows Towa her memories that their mother (Rin) had sealed away. Towa is finally able to see how distraught Setsuna was after the forest fire. Towa returns to her calmer human side and apologizes.
Elsewhere, Sesshomaru tosses the black pearl to Moroha and informs her that Inuyasha and Kagome are inside. He then enters the tree of ages.
Setsuna sees that the thread is actually connected to the Great Dog Demon. After that connection is severed, they see Lady Zero's memories. Seems that her greatest regret was not going to help the Great Dog Demon. She believed in his strength and not the prophecy of the Shikon Jewel. Lady Zero felt she was the only one that could have protected him.
Lady Zero thanks Setsuna for untangling the thread to her heart. She says goodbye summoning Riku, who tearfully stabs her in the chest. She shows them one last thing ... how Rion was killed by a half-demon named Sakasa. Before she dies, Zero (using her staff) tells Kirinmaru the girls are not the half demons he should be fearful of then says "Ill be waiting in Nirvana for you."
Returning to the Tree of Ages, the curse has been lifted from Rin. Sesshomaru holds her in his arms.
At the same time, Moroha is contemplating what to do when Kirinmaru appears. He notices that Moroha can see Akuru. Kirinmaru takes the black pearl saying that if Moroha brings him Akuru (Windmill of Time), he will return it. This angers Moroha, and she begins to fight him.
