Episode 02: Friends

The episode begins with Rachel and Jimmy joining Sho on his journey. They soon run into Ricky. Sho senses he is a battler and runs off to confront him. He tells Rachel to locate the arena.

Rachel and Jimmy find the arena, and who should be sitting right outside it's doors...but Leon. He, too, is a chosen battler. Just then, Sho returns with Ricky.

In an ancient arena, Ricky and his BeyRaiderz, Gladiator Bahamut battle Leon and his Berserker Byakko. Each is determined to win the match, and the battle for tokens is fast and furious. The arena has been damaged over the years so the BeyRaiderz must deal with uneven ground and water in their quest for victory.

Ricky's Bahamut gets stuck in the water but Leon's Byakko uses a path of rocks to leap over it to safety. This allows Leon's BeyRaiderz to grab the final token and claim victory. The mythic beast Byakko appears and roars his approval. Ricky and Leon vow to battle again soon. Meanwhile an unseen figure watches from the shadows.

Leon now joins Sho and the others as they head out to find the next arena.
