Searching for the next arena in the snowy mountains, Sho and Rachel get thrown into a cavern by an avalanche. Sho injures his arm in the fall. When the danger clears the others search for them. Soon they meet up down in the cavern where they end up finding an ancient arena with hieroglyphics of the past.
Armes shows up wanting to battle Sho, but Ricky volunteers to battle in his place due to Sho's injured arm.
Armes and Ricky battle. As mentioned, the arena is steep underground in a cave where ice and falling rocks make it all that more difficult for the beyraiderz to navigate and gain tokens. The battle is a close one, but in the end, Ricky and his Bahamut fall to Armes and his Leviathan. Ricky is devastated by the loss, and things get worse as the spirit of Leviathan emerges and turns into a guiding light. Sho and his friends ask Armes to lend them his power and join them in their quest to return prosperity to the world, but he refuses...saying he only battles for himself.
Later on Armes meets up with Task, who takes him to meet his master, the mysterious Kaiser Gray.
