Highlights:
Mephisto had summoned Rin and Yukio telling them that Shura has disappeared, and he is sending them to Aomori to search for her.
They arrive at the snowy Towada City and secure a room at an Inn. The Inn keeper mistakes them for lovers as she does not know they are brothers. This freaks Yukio out, and of course, Rin is clueless as to what is going on.
Elsewhere, by the Eternal Snake Lake, Shura has come face to face with Hachirotaro Okami, a high level hydra. Using an Illuminati threat to lure her to the city, Hachiro gets to his true motive, she must have a child to fulfill the blood pact promise. When Shura refuses, Hachiro uses Spiral Serpent Fang and gravely wounds her.
It isn't long before Yukio and Rin come across her wounded body. They take her back to the Inn.
When Shura awakens, she tells the boys about the blood pact promise that happened between between Hachiro and her ancestor. Seems she sold the lives of her descendants in exchange for the power of a demon sword. Those descendants must bear a female child before they die at the age of 30.
The boys go out to talk for a bit, but when they return, Shura is gone!
