It's the climatic end to the anime series, and all exorcists are working together to shut down the Gehenna Gate. It's difficult as demons keep pouring through the opening.

Demons are weaker during the day, which gives the Esquires an idea. They open the gate to the Vatican and reflect the sunlight to the academy. This gives Rin and Yukio the chance to work together and destroy the gate.

One month later, the boys visit their mother's grave, as well as, continue to exorcise demons while attending the academy.
