Yukio is Rin's twin brother, but based on their birth order, he is considered the younger of the two. He was a very timid child and extremely scared of demons. Shiro convinced him to study exorcism.

Yukio began exorcism training at the age of 7. He became the youngest person in history to earn the rank of exorcist, and is considered a genius in his field.

Yukio's biggest fear is that he will be unable to protect Rin.
