Sakura's Rival
Sakura Avalon has a bad dream and talks to Kero about it. Kero thinks there's nothing to worry about so Sakura skates to school with her brother Tori and his friend Julian who are riding their bikes. When she gets to school there's a new boy introduced to the class, Li Shaoron. Sakura gets weirded out when Li ends up sitting in the desk behind her, and he pretty much glares at her all day.
Later at recess, Li confronts Sakura about the clow cards but she refuses to give them up. He tries to take them from her when Tori shows up and warns Li to leave his sister alone. The situation breaks up when Julian comes running and offers everyone lunch. Li seems scared(?) of Julian and runs off.
After school, Madison Taylor, Sakura's best friend, and Sakura walk home through the park when they hear thunder. They talk about how weird that is since it isn't raining. At night Sakura talks to Kero about Li, and he tells her that Li is a descendent of Clow Reed. Sakura starts to get nervous thinking she should have just given him the cards when Kero tells her she was the cardcaptor that broke the seal so it was her job to get the clow cards.
A little later, Madison calls Sakura, telling her that there's a clow card around. When Sakura meets up with her, Madison gives her a pink, black, and frilly cat costume that Sakura doesn't seem to thrilled about wearing. Madison reassures her about it when the Thunder Card shows up. All Sakura can really do is use the Jump Card to dodge Thunder. Li shows up and comments on her lousy performance. They argue for a while till Kero tells them they should get the card first. Li uses his sword to force Thunder into it's solid form, Raiju. Then the Shadow Card is used to give Sakura the ability to seal the card.
Afterwards, Li is shocked by the appearance of Keroberos. When he comments that Kero looks like a stuffed toy, Li gets a painful bite to his finger. (Better watch what you say, Li!)
