A Night in the Medabot Junkyard

Episode Summary

Sloan and Totalizer aren't doing well robattling. They've even lost to a young novice Ikki was training. Ikki says that Totalizer is not picking up Sloan's battling strategy. This hurts Totalizer's feelings circuitry. (Do robots have feelings??) Even so, no matter how bad they do, Sloan stands beside his bot saying “ Winning is not that important.” (I have a new respect for Sloan after this episode.) Unfortunately, Totalizer feels he’s holding Sloan back and runs away.

Poor Totalizer doesn't know where to go. He is drawn to a secluded place that looks like a cross between a junkyard and Transylvania. Around him are tons of discarded tinpets. On the top of a large mound of trash is where the medabot, Fossilkat, calls home. She welcomes Totalizer, but twists his memory banks to believe that all humans are bad. (Uh..Oh!) Fossilkat hates humans, because she claims her medafighter abandoned her.

Meanwhile, Sloan discovers Totalizer is gone, and promptly calls Ikki. They show up at Ms. Nae's hoping that she can help them. Ms. Nae locates Totalizer at an old medabot training ground, which looks like an old junkyard. Suddenly, Ms. Nae, Sloan, Ikki, and Metabee are surrounded by zombie tinpets controlled by Fossilkat. When Totalizer appears and fires at them, the four escape to an abandoned building. Their safely is short lived as the thousands of tinpets, Fossilkat, and Totalizer enter the building and attack.

In the midst of the chaos, Sloan pleads with Totalizer to remember their friendship! A few feet away, it's looking bad for Ikki and Ms. Nae! Tinpet zombies have captured them! Luckily, Ikki has a strategy that involves Matabee's action mode. At about the same time, Totalizer's memory slips in and out until finally he remembers Sloan. The bot helps Metabee defeat Fossilkat.

After all the fighting, Totalizer informs everyone what he saw when his memory banks slipped in and out. Seems Fossilkat was never abandoned by her medafighter! The young girl had grown up and didn't have as much time for her bot. Because of that, Fossilkat ran away. Truth is, the girl never forgot about Fossilkat.

The next day at Ms. Nae's, a young girl selects Fossilkat for her very own. Fossilkat knows she will be loved, but also, understands that humans do grow up.

NOTE: This episode reminded of the last Toy Story Movie.

Funny Quotes:

Ms Nae: "This isn't your fault, Sloan, they're all under Fossilkat's spell."
Ikki: "She must be some kind of great speller. There's gotta be a million tinpets out here!"
