Fighting Temptation

Episode Summary

Ikki, Erika, and Metabee are meeting with Miss Nae. She tells them how she use to work in the development division of the Medabots Corporation, which is why she knows so much about Medabots. After Metabee goes out of control during a test run, Miss Nae says his tin-pet may not be compatible with the new parts she had given Ikki. Luckily, she can fix them, but it will take at least a day. Miss Nae tells Ikki to promise her that he will NOT robattle until the parts are done.

Spyke happened to overhear Ikki and Miss Nae and informs Samantha. With the information in hand, Samantha goes off to meet Kam. She will tell him Ikki's situation only if he promises to give Peppercat a more powerful battery. Kam gives her what she wants knowing full well that the battery is not compatible with Peppercat's current configuration.

Not long after, Kam and Ginkai go looking for Ikki with Tankbank. They almost lure the two into a robattle, but Ikki remembered his promise to Miss Nae and refuses. Kam and Ginkai begin destroying young children's metabots until Ikki agrees to fight them. It's difficult for Ikki to keep refusing, but finally the parts are ready. Of course, Metabee wins.

After the battle Samantha begs Miss Nae to fix her beloved Peppercat. Ikki is against it, because of their double cross. Miss Nae, however, sees the closeness between Peppercat and Samantha and agrees to fix the bot. "Everyone deserves a second chance," she says. Seeing Miss Nae's compassion makes Ikki's crush on her intensify.
