Mystery Medafighter Unmasked

Episode Summary

NOTE: This episode reveals a lot about the characters.

Kam meets with Banjo in a video arcade. He wants the boy to find the mystery medafighter fighter with the help of Redrun. Banjo agrees, but only if Kam can defeat him at a game. Kam is victorious and the hunt for the mystery medafighter begins.

Meanwhile, Ikki, Erika, and Zuru are at the playground. Erika wants to build up the medabots reputation, by writing an article on real experiences. When Ikki and Metabee come up empty handed, Erika turns to Zuru, who happens to be nursing a cold. Zuru remembered a long time ago, when his father worked for the Metabot Corporation, how he was taught by a young high school girl, who worked for the Metabot Corporation as well. She taught him that robattling was about friendship.

The next day, Ikki and Metabee visit Ms. Nae. She is on a ladder looking for some specifications. As she grabs what she needs, the ladder falls and everything comes toppling down on Ms. Nae, Ikki, and Metabee. In the pile, Ms. Nae finds her old diary with some pictures. A young Ms. Nae is in the picture along with Dr. Aki and others who work for the Medabot Corporation. When Ikki asks why she was there, Ms. Nae reveals that Dr. Aki is her grandfather!

At school, everyone is talking about the guy terrorizing everyone while looking for the mystery medafighter. "That Kam! He'll pay for this.." Zuru thinks to himself. Once school ends, Zuru spots another student getting attacked by Banjo. He swings into action...removing his glasses and putting on his cape and cap. As luck would have it, Ms. Nae is delivering a part and sees him!

Zuru transports Roks and Tyrelbeetle to fight and tells the student to go. Once the student is gone, Zuru (MM) tells Roks to go into action mode so he can grab Tyrelbeetle, and they can flee. Ms. Nae confronts Zuru a few blocks away. She shows him pictures from years ago. Ms. Nae was the high school girl who taught him about medabots and friendship. She asked him why he disguises himself and fights all kilobots. Zuru told her how his father left the Medabot Corporation to work making kilobots. "He through himself into his work," Zuru said, "completely neglecting me and mom. All for those unfeeling kilobots." Ms. Nae tries to convince him to talk with his father, but Zuru is not ready to do that.

Evening falls and Zuru has decided to tell everyone that he is the Mystery Medafighter by sending out a mass email. He gives advanced instructions to Roks and Tyrelbeetle by predicting Redrun's attack patterns. Zuru has a plan where he won't reveal his identity, but hopes to stop Kam and Banjo from terrorizing everyone.

The next day, Zuru meets with Kam and Banjo. He tells them that he just admitted so they would stop attacking everyone. Banjo feels like he's been made a fool of. Suddenly, Roks and Tyrelbeetle appear on the hill overlooking them. A robattle begins. Because Zuru isn't giving commands, everyone now believes he is NOT the mystery medafighter. When the plan doesn't work and Roks and Tyrelbeetle are defeated, Kam shouts out to the crowd, "Now reveal yourself or we'll destroy their medals!" A moment passes when Ms. Nae shouts, "He's up there!" She saw Zuru was in trouble and disguised Honey as the mystery medafighter. Banjo left with Redrun saying he did his job. Kam left as well. After everyone was gone Zuru thanked Ms. Nae for helping him, and she promised to keep his secret. Moments later, Ikki and Erika run up. Right after Ikki tells him he's cool, Zuru sneezes and get snot on the both of them. Yuck! Will he ever learn to cover his mouth?!?
