How Spyke Got His Style Back

Episode Summary

After a crushing defeat by Minatora and Kantora, Samantha is about ready to kick Spyke out of her group. It was especially embarrassing for Samantha, because Ginkai came to rescue her.

Spyke wants to learn to be a better meda-fighter like Ikki. He tries to learn everything he can about Ikki's fighting style. Erika tells him that, "Ikki does what his opponents least expect him to do. He shocks them into losing their edge."

Spyke learns enough that he is ready! He has a plan and challenges Minatora and Kantora to a rematch the next day. Unfortunately his plan is ruined we they wake up to snow. Thinking of another option, Spyke calls Sloan.

At the park, everyone meets to watch the robattle. Spyke is using Totalizer's hover legs Snow is slowing down the kilobots. Spyke instructs Krosserdog to fire. The robattle is going well until Minatora and Kantora order Unitrix and Exor to change to action mode and clear out the snow. Once the snow is cleared they transform back to normal mode and have regained their advantage.

Spyke remembers that Unitrix had some damage in one spot and kept ordering Krosserdog to fire at the same spot over and over. He figured one last shot would cause him to fall to pieces, and it worked. But Spyke forgot about Exor, and a hit from that kilobot ends it for Krosserdog.

Ikki congratulates Spyke on a great strategy and asks if he can use it himself. "Common, I lost," Spyke says. "Nope," Ikki responds, "I saw a guy who took on two more powerful opponents, and I saw a 1st class medafighting team that wooped the competition." "Way to go!!" the rest of the group cheered.

Even Samantha breaks down and tells him it was a good match. Spyke pretends he doesn't hear her, which makes her angry that she has to keep repeating herself. Fact is..... it was great strategy and a great match.
