Kung Fu For Thought

Episode Summary

Ikki is excited about meeting the Idol, Shirayuki. If he purchases her CD, he can meet her on Saturday. While Ikki is out purchasing the CD, Metabee is helping Ms. Nae. Ginkai arrives to pick up some parts. As he is talking to Ms. Nae, Arcdash and Metabee get into an argument. Ms. Nae says medabots often mimic their master. Ginkai laughs saying, "That's why Metabee is so hot headed!" Ikki shows up just in time to hear Ginkai, and the two of them get in an argument. Ms. Nae says they should settle their differences with a robattle. She is currently making a robattle arena to check on the condition of repaired medabots, and she was hoping they would test it out. Both boys jump at the chance, but Ginkai can't make it Saturday so the battle is scheduled for Sunday.

Waking home, Ikki checks on Metabee's status. He sees that the lasers need recharging, but that's impossible since he spent all of his allowance on the CD. Not long after, Samantha, hearing he said she was second rate medafighter challenges, Ikki. Metabee wins but he uses up all of his weaponry.

Ikki approaches Ms. Nae who offers them some free parts to try out. Nothing seems to work. That evening they watch a kung fu show where the hero was using nunchucks, and Ikki gets an idea. They return to Ms. Nae's the next day to borrow some arm parts that are close to nunchucks. Everyday they train.

Finally, its Sunday, and time to battle. Metabee is doing well with his new gear until Arcdash uses his disrupter cannon. With his weapons gone, Metabee is running out of options. Suddenly, Ikki notices a hook just above and instructs Metabee. The bot grabs the hook above, swings, and kicks Arcdash. That did it! Function ceased. The two boys go to shake on a good match, but Gingai pulls back saying he hasn't washed his hand since he met Shirayuki yesterday. Ikki realized he missed his change to meet her and freaks out!
