Transfusion Confusion

Episode Summary

Disappointed in Blakbeetle's performance in a recent robattle with Ginkai and ArcDash, Kam tells Eddie to dispose of the kilobit. Eddie convinces the boy to give Blakbeetle a 2nd chance.

The next day, Kam and Blakbeetle show up outside the elementary school, where Ikki and Metabee are helping younger children with their medabots. Kam challenges Ikki. In the end, Ikki's strategy prevails and Blakbeetle takes a severe blow. Kam says it's over for Blakbeetle and that the emotion chip failed.

Eddie is left in charge of disposing of Blakbeetle. He secretly inserts Blakbeetle's medal before the kilobot goes on the chopping block. Before he can be smashed, Blakbeetle begins to function and escapes, but not without some damage. "I must go battle and defeat Metabee," it thinks. Seems that Eddie put a time activated medal inside the bot.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nai is working with Ikki and Metabee, who needs a part to hold his medal in place. The damaged Blakbeetle shows up. Ms Nai wants to do the repair, but she needs to use the part that would fix Metabee.
"Use it," Metabee offers.
"Forget it." Blakbeetle says, "I would never take charity from an enemy." Eventually, the kilobot gives in, and Ms. Nai repairs her.

When they try to convince Blakbeetle she has feelings, the bot thinks they are trying to brainwash her. She begins hitting Metabee until Ikki reminds her that Metabee sacrificed his part for her. Blakbeetle stops. Survival acquired. Further battle is unnecessary.

A short time later, Blakbeetle walks down a road when Kam and Eddie show up. Kam holds out his hand saying, "I'll forgo scrapping her. She's proved her medal today."
