Final Goodbyes

Episode Summary

The lab informs Kam that Gryphon is finally complete, therefore, he asks them to prepare a final test using the neo X medal.

Elsewhere, Ikki is determined to save Blakbeetle, but Ginkai is skeptical feeling that the bot made her choice. Ms. Nai shows up saying Dr. Maizu has found a way to sabotage Gryphon's test. He is hacking into Extreme Tech's research database to destroy the design data for Gryphon. He was too late! Gryphon was already complete.

Later, Ms. Nai goes to Eddy for help. Eddy asks why she cares so much. She tells him that Blakbeetle has a spirit, and she would like Kam to share the laughter and joy of friendship with his bot. Eddy explains how Kam became so cold: "Young Master Kam's father is Shim Kamazaki, the president of Backus, a major investor in Extreme Tech. Kam hasn't seen his father since he was a baby. He had built the house, but soon after, went to America. He comes back, but his schedule is so tight, there is no time to see Kam. Kam's mother was frail, and passed away when he was 4. After the death of his mother, Kam has never shed one single tear."

After telling the story Eddy says he doesn't have the authority to stop the test. Ms. Nai calls him a coward and leaves.

Even though he told Ikki he wouldn't help, Ginkai secretly goes to see Eddy. The butler has a change of heart and follows the truck heading to the testing facility. They fake a breakdown to stop the truck letting Ginkai sneak in and take Blakbeetle. Unfortunately, Ikki and Metabee see him, and their talking is heard by Kam.

Kam orders Blakbeetle to attack. Ikki tells Blakbeetle that he can choose, but Blakbeetle still chooses to do as his master says. Roks and Zuru show up and want to destroy the bot, but Arc Dash stops them.

Blakbeetle thanks Metabee just before defeating him. Ikki tries to reason with Kam, but the boy refuses to stop the test.

Even after all this, Ikki is still set on stopping the test. Both Ginkai and Zuru say they will help.

"Let's go Metabee. Next stop Extreme tech!" Ikki says with determination.
