Phantom Renegade Unmasked

Episode Summary

The Phantom Renegade is about to steal a rare medal from the Medabot Museum when....the lights go on, and he is surrounded by the police. Being the elusive fellow that he is, he manages to outrun them and disappears into a back alley. Suddenly, there is laughter and camera flashes. An old photographer appears and attempts to capture the Renegade with the help of his chameleon-type medabot, Multikolor. The slippery Phantom again eludes them and lands on the East Side Bridge where he encounters Rokusho. Rokusho is shocked when the Renegade recognizes him and vows to one day steal his rare medal as well. A hot air balloon takes the Phantom to safety but not before he knocks his head on one of the bridges steel beams and loses his mask.

The following day Henry is reading the news about last nights robbery when Erika approaches taking his picture. She asks how he injured his head, and Henry replies something about plucking his eyebrows. Then Ikki walks up and he too has injured his head. Metabee explains how Ikki fell in the bathroom when he thought the bathtub was the toilet! (He must have really had to go!) Just then the old photographer approaches and accuses Ikki of being the Phantom Renegade (Henry has already disappeared). Erika finds out that this so-called photographer is from the National Intruder one of those tabloid newspapers. He introduces himself as Seamus MacRaker. He has been studying the Phantom's antics for a long time. He explained how the Phantom only collects certain kinds of rare medals....those with special powers. It is written that they have the power to take over the world.

Erika pledges to find out who this mysterious Phantom is. As she is waiting on the East Side Bridge, Henry walks up. Hoping to fish the real Phantom out Seamus, wearing the mask lost by the Phantom, is prancing around claiming he is the Phantom Renegade. The next day Renegade articles are all over the paper. One accusing Ikki of being the perpetrator. Ikki and Erika set out to find the answer when a mysterious phone call directs them to Lotus Park. There they caught Seamus in the act. Both are accusing the other so a robattle is declared. Multikolor has blended into the scenery making it impossible for Metabee to see him. Ikki, however, is aware of Multikolor's abilities and equipped Metabee with point radar. Once Multikolor is located, Metabee blasts him with his seeker missles. Metabee wins.

The robattle gave the Phantom Renegade a distraction with which he could retrieve his mask. He thanks Ikki. His appearance has proved Ikki's innocence. Again he makes his getaway and again he knocks his head.

Ah ha, is the Phantom Renegade trying to save the world or take over the world?!? You just have to keep watching to find out!
