Me & My Shadow Sword

Episode Summary

After witnessing Metabee using the Meta-force, Koji realizes he and Sumilidon need more training in order to compete with Ikki. He begs Space Medafighter X for his help and guidance. SpaceMedaFighter X agrees to teach him the best defense against the meda-force....highly accelerated motion he likes to call "the shadow sword attack!"

Ikki and the others discover Koji's determined training. While Ikki feels that he and Metabee should also practice, Karen, on the other hand, wants to eliminate some of Koji's stress. Unfortunately, Koji becomes angry at her distractions until he discovers just what it takes to clear his mind.

After days and nights of training and meditation, Koji is ready to challenge Ikki to a Robattle. Metabee arrives wearing Rokusho's tattered shawl. The referee appears and declares an official robattle. Initially the two opponents simply stare...each trying to psych the other out. Koji watches for any sign of the meta-force so Sumilidon can begin his attack. Suddenly Metabee begins to glow! Koji instructs Sumilidon to wield the shadow sword attack, but Metabee disappears just as the bot was ready to strike. Sumilidon is caught off-guard by this which gives Metabee the chance to use his seeker missiles. Function cease Sumilidon!!

Both Koji and SpaceMedaFighter X are impressed with Ikki's strategy to use the invisi-arm hidden under Rokusho's old cape. Seems it was SpaceMedaFighter X's intention to teach both Ikki and Koji that a good medafighter must study the strategy of their opponent in order to gain the upper hand, and the Meda-force alone cannot win the world tournament.

Glory is short for Ikki as Salty comes running to him with a note. Tragedy! Ikki's mom has been taken by the Rubberobo gang. Will Ikki have time to save his mom and still move up in the ranks??? Keep watching!!
