It's two years after the God Blader's Cup, and Valt Aoi is the undefeated World Champion.

Valt ventures into Japan's frontier in search of the legendary Bey trainer, Red Blade Taiga. After stumbling in the woods, Valt is saved by a young, red-headed boy who turns out to be Taiga's son, Aiga! Aiga takes Valt to his father where they work together to evolve Valkyrie into Winning Valkyrie equipped with the super Z layer system.

After Valt leaves, Aiga sets out to create a bey of his own, and forges Z Achilles. Valt returns after getting lost in the forest and asks for directions out. For Aiga, this is the perfect opportunity to test his bey. The two boys battle with Valt winning with a burst finish. Aiga is a poor loser and runs off. Standing on a tree, Aiga claims he will get stronger and become the best (where have we heard that before??).
