To battle Free, Bell travels to Spain with Valt, Ranzo, and the others. After arriving in Spain, Bell literally runs into BC Sol's rising star blader, Rashad Goodman. Rashad takes a liking to Bell.
A bus picks up the group and takes them to a remote, dessert-like area. "Up ahead is Free's training area, Valt says.
Free's training area is quite the distance, but Ranzo manages to reach first so he will battle Free. Free tells Bell he tried out the Dynamite Battle System using Vanish Fafnir.
When Free puts his bey in the center without the launcher, Ranzo thinks he's making fun of him, but we know that is Free's way and soon his bey will be absorbing the opponents rotational force.
In battle, even with Ragnaruk's Double Wing Cyclone, Vanish Fafnir manages to burst Ranzo's bey. Bell thinks he's next, but Free says that he and the Demon King will battle in El Santo. We'll battle tomorrow, Free says.
