Highlights:

Over 1000 Soul Society soldiers were killed within 7 minutes of the Quincy's invasion.

3rd Division captain, Rojuro Otoribashi ("Rose") faces off against Sternritter "U", NaNaNa Najahkoop.

6th Division captain, Byakuya Kuchiki and 6th Division lieutenant, Renji Abarai face off against Sternritter "F", As Nodt, and an un-named Sternritter.

7th Division captain, Sajin Komamura faces off against Sternritter "E", Bambietta Basterbine. The other Soul Society captains face off against un-named Sternritters.

When pushed to their limit, the 2nd, 6th, 7th and 10th Division captains release their Bankai but have them immediately stolen by their Sternritter opponent by using a special medallion. This event shocks the 4 captains! News of the Sternritter's trump card is communicated to the rest of Soul Society.

8th Division captain, Shunsui Kyoraku receives an injury to his eye by an un-named Sternritter.

Meanwhile, Sternritter "J", Quilge continues his fight against Ichigo and Urahara observes that the Sternritter is having difficulties stealing Ichigo's Bankai. Urahara finds an opening which allows for Ichigo to attempt to go to Soul Society to join the fight.

In a last ditch effort, Quilge attacks Urahara, Orihime and Sado and uses his Sternritter powers ("The Jail") to imprison Ichigo while he is in the Dangai and on his way to Soul Society.
