Highlights:
Twice is going to duplicate Toga to save her life with a blood transfusion. Meanwhile, Spinner is fighting Liberation Army members with enhanced abilities thanks to Trumpet's quirk, incite. Trumpet sees the explosion at the tower and sends the members to help the Grand Commander.
At the ruins of the tower, Re-Destro's quirk, stress, has reached fever pitch giving him an abundance of power. He has gotten the upper hand (get the pun) over Shigaraki. However, seeing his sister's hands destroyed and on the ground, Shigaraki feels his memories welling up inside of him. Re-Destro crushes his fingers, but tosses him violently away when his quirk activates with only two fingers. (BTW: Shigaraki is wearing no shoes when he is tossed. A few frames later, he has shoes, and when he is tossed again, he doesn't have shoes. See images 5, 6, and 7.)
During their fight Re-Destro sees Shigaraki's increased physical ability and realizes that it was premature to judge him inferior. Using "Burden," Re_Destro throws Shigaraki clear across the city. Losing most of the hands of his family, Shigaraki has a flashback of his youth and when his quirk manifested.
Tenko/Shigaraki wanted to be a hero, but his father (Kotaro) was strictly against it. Tenko was punished anytime hero was brought up. One day Hana showed Tenko a picture of their grandmother the hero, Nana Shimura. His father found out and hit and punished the child. Kotaro was angry that his mother abandoned him to be a hero.
That night while sitting outside crying, Tenko's quirk manifested. First his dog, then Hana, his mother, grandparents, and finally his father were all reduced to dust. At first this was horrific to Tenko, but after destroying his father, an absurd sense of pleasure shot through his body. Afterwards, he didn't itch anymore. End flashback.
Skeptic frantically calls Re-Destro. He's here....Gigantomachia has entered the city wreaking havoc!!
NOTE: Most of this episode's events took place in volume 25 of the manga.
