All For One is causing anxiety at the prison. He grins while thinking he sees his little brother.
Back at U.A., the final match has begun. It is Deku, Ashido, Uraraka, and Mineta against Shinso, Monoma, Tokage, Yanagi, and Shoda.
All Might gets a phone call from Grand Torino. The older man recalled Shimura telling him of a dream she had. There was a man standing in front of her shrouded in black smoke who said, "It's not time yet!"
At the match, Monoma has been egging Deku on by talking badly about Bakugo. Suddenly, powerful black whips emit from Deku's hand. He begins to panic when he is unable to control it.
Uraraka grabs Deku, and screams for Shinso to brainwash him.
When Shinso says "Fight me," Deku responds and is brainwashed. The black whip disappears. In his unconscious state, Deku is approached by the vestige and owner of black whip. He tells Deku, "You're going to be the one to complete One For All!"
Uraraka slaps Deku back to consciousness. The match continues, but Deku is hesitant to use his quirk(s) for fear of hurting someone.
NOTE: Most events pertaining to the manga took place in volume 22 with a little at the beginning of volume 23.
