Highlights:

Prior to their abduction, Historia told Levi and the others about her past. She described how her mother never acknowledged her and left. Five years later, Rod Reiss came to see her saying that he was her father. Her mother was with him. When they all were about to leave, outside stood an execution squad, which included Kenny the Ripper. Her mother's throat was slashed. Her last words were, "If only I never had you!" Rod Reiss stopped them from executing Historia by saying she could be sent away and live a quiet life as Christa Lenz.

Present day, Rod is hugging Historia apologizing. He tells her that the Reiss family is the true royal line, and she is the only one that has the power to save humanity.

Returning to Section Commander Hange; after absorbing what Sannes has spilled, she informs the rest of the Scouts. From what Eren had told her, Hange surmises that when a Titan devours a human who can also become a Titan, then they revert back to human and retain the power of those they eat. She fears Eren is about to be eaten. Levi informs an angry Mikase that they will head to the land of Reiss and get ready to leave immediately!

Elsewhere, in the streets of town, the people are grieving the murder of Reeves. The Military police are saying that the Scouts were responsible. For that.... they are rounding up and arresting Erwin and all members of the Survey Squad. Before getting taken away by the police, Erwin tells the grieving family members that he swears to avenge his death. On his way to prison, he recalls telling Commander Pixis about a plan to overthrow the King and about his father. Erwin believes his father was killed, because he was getting close to the truth.

That evening, at Captain Levi's camp, Armin returns with supplies and the latest newspaper. They've learned that the police will be hunting for them tonight. Suddenly, they hear footsteps approaching.
