Credit for Summary: Me, myself, and I!

Picking up from last episode; things do not look good for the Survey Corps. Commander Erwin has led a suicide charge as a diversion so Captain Levi can take down the Beast Titan. "My soldiers, rage! My soldiers, scream! My soldiers, fight!" In the first stage, Commander Erwin is mortally wounded. The men continue their charge only to see Marlowe and many more perish at the hands of the Beast's pitching arm. Finally, the Beast finishes off the remainder of the selfless men and women. Just when he notices that his Titans have fallen, the Beast gets a taste of Captain Levi's wrath! (Reiner and Bertholdt warmed him about Captain Levi's strength!).

In a matter of seconds, the Captain pulverizes the Beast Titan and pulls out the mutilated body of Zeke (the man inside). Sadly, Levi cannot find anyone alive or even on the brink of death to give the injection, and the Cart Titan grabs Zeke and runs off. The wounded Zeke orders the remaining Titans to kill Levi!

Elsewhere, Reiner is approaching! Armin has noticed that the Colossal Titan has gotten thinner and announces a plan. He and Eren will defeat Bertholdt while the others draw Reiner away. Armin knows that for this plan to work, he may never get to look at the sea. Armin has awakened Eren and filled him in on the plan.

Further inside the wall, Mikasa, Jean, Sasha, and Connie have managed to stop the Armor Titan with a thunderspear to the knee. Mikasa resolves that they must kill Reiner. They need to get two thunderspears to the mouth to open the Armor Titan's jaw. Unfortunately, Sasha is injured in the attempt. Thankfully, Hange appears to help! Reiner is dislodged from his titan from the thunderspear explosion.

Returning to Armin; the plan is in motion. From Bertholdt's perspective, it appears that Eren has lost his balance and fallen off the wall landing in a hump below. He believes Eren suffered from a concussion and can't function. However, Armin suddenly anchors himself to the front of the Colossal Titan. Disgusted and wanting to end this quickly, Bertholdt emits heat and steam. Armin hangs on for as long as he can, unable to breath, and scorched so badly that his skin has turned into leather. His lifeless body falls on a rooftop. Bertholdt looks down at Eren to see that he had left a replica, hardened titan. Before he can react, Eren (in human form) slices through the Colossal Titan's nape and pulls out Bertholdt... minus full arms and legs.

Dragging the torso of Bertholdt behind him, Eren approaches the smoldering body of his childhood friend. "I knew...you were more of a hero...than anyone else."

The Outside World: It's said a world beyond our wildest dreams extends outside the walls. It has fiery waters, lands of ice, sandy snowfields, and a saltwater lake called the sea that stretches far past the horizon. Some have joined the Scout Regiment to fight solely because seeing it is their dream.
