The Colossal Titan has breached the wall, taken out the cannons, and disappears mysteriously before Eren can take a swing. This leaves the Trost District vulnerable, and Titans can enter at any time. Mikasa is told she must help with the evacuation, while other members of the 104th are sent to assist the front lines.
When Eren sees an abnormal take his friend Thomas, the boy goes ballistic. In his haste for revenge, Eren loses a leg to a Titan and comes crashing down face first on a rooftop.
Armin sees Eren and the rest of his group fall, and is petrified with fear. A large Titan picks Armin up and places him in his mouth. Before the Titan can swallow, Eren uses all of his strength to pull Armin out. He begs Armin to live and see the outside world just before the Titan bites down taking all of Eren except his left arm. Armin screams in shock.
Elsewhere Mikasa looks off in the distance hoping her friends are OK.
