| Toonami Returns with some new content! |
Monday, May 21, 2012 |
To the joy of Toonami alumni everywhere, Cartoon Network announced that they would be bringing back the block beginning Saturday, May 26th. (It's actually May 27th if your under Eastern time.) Although they initially planned to keep their schedule secret, that didn't quite happen. You can check out what we know so far by
Clicking Here!
The two new series selected to air are Deadman Wonderland and Casshern Sins. Both come as quite a surprise to me. (InuYasha fans...don't give up. According to Cartoon Network's Jason DeMarco that show is still being "discussed.") Although I own the DVD's for Casshern Sins, there hasn't been enough time to watch them. From what I understand both series are pretty dark. Gonna check 'em out this weekend for sure and so should everyone else. SUPPORT TOONAMI!!

| Toonami's Return...Is it Possible? |
Tuesday, May 8, 2012 |
Back from vacation...anyone miss me??(:p) Hmmm, just what is brewing at Cartoon Network's Adult Swim? There will be a schedule change on Saturday, May 26, but there are several open areas. Could it possibly be the return of Toonami? No announcements or even slip of the tongue just yet, but one can't help but get their hopes up. You can take a look at the schedule by clicking here! In light of the possibilities, please vote on the newest poll!
So let's see...what new acquisitions took place since April 15th? Oh yeah! FUNimation announced at Anime Central that they have the media rights to Eureka 7:AO (must have for me) and the film, King of Thorn. Sentai Filmworks grabbed more goodies with the likes of Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, Tsuritama, Upotte, Cluster Edge, Bakumatsu kikansetsu Irohanihoheto (try to say that one fast) and Hakuouki (Bilingual Release! My moneys on Bishonen!). Finally, NIS America swooped up the series, Bunny Drop, which will be released in August of this year.

| Blast from the Past: Inuyasha!! |
Sunday, April 15, 2012 |
At one of the largest anime conventions held each year, Sakura-Con, Viz announced that they will be releasing "Inuyasha, The Final Act (a.k.a. Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen) on domestic DVD and BD. This is a must have for all Inuyasha fans. It moves quickly and actually puts a desirable closure on the anime series. You can look for it on Home video sometime this Fall.
There were actually 2 conventions that took place Easter weekend; Sakura-Con and Anime Boston. I will recap some of the license announcements for anime only. FUNimation announced at Sakura-Con its acquisition of both Sankarea (2012 romantic comedy) and Shangri-La (2009 futuristic action). At Anime Boston, FUNI announced Jormungand (2012 Action), Lupin III~Mine Fujiko to lu Onna (2012 Action, Romance), Is this a Zombie? Of the Dead 2nd Season (2012 Comedy), and additional home video rights (yippee) to Future Diary. (Looks like I need a 2nd job!)
Sentai/Section 23 had some great announcements as well. The best was their acquisition of Kids on the Slope (a.k.a. Sakamichi no Apollon), which is a definite buy for me. In addition, Sentai grabbed Hidamari Sketch X and Mysterious Girlfriend (2012 Weird romantic comedy). We should see a dub on the 1st, and most likely sub only on the last 2 anime.
Rounding things out in anime; Aniplex of America swooped up Bakemonogatari, and Viz surprised us with their acquisition of Berserk: The Golden Age Arc film trilogy (Lets's hope it doesn't take 3 years to release it).
It's time for the list of site updates...which are:
Images added of Monsuno episode 7.
Summary/Pics of Medabots Season 3 episode 17.
Added Flyfalcon to the Medabot's Robots section.
Images added of Digimon Xros Wars Season II Episode 24.

Images of Bleach episode 362 added.
A new poll has been added. Please take a moment to vote.
In the last poll, most people caught their anime on YouTube!

12:30am Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood:"Interlude Party"
